Christina Brown, MA, CCC-SLP

Christina began practicing speech-language pathology after receiving her Master's Degree from Northwestern University in 1981. She has provided services in schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and this private practice. She served as adjunct instructor and clinical supervisor for graduate students at The University of New Mexico Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. She has contributed to academic research and the development of training videos in the area of augmentative communication. She has provided training, in-services and workshops throughout New Mexico for professionals and families.

In most recent years, Christina has focused on augmentative communication and computer access techniques for adults and children with severe physical, developmental and communication challenges. Areas of interest also include swallowing and eating difficulties, literacy skills, voice disorders, and cognitive-communicative problems associated with traumatic brain injury.

Our Staff


Our speech-language pathologists are highly specialized and trained to evaluate and treat communication disorders and developmental delays. They are certified in speech-language pathology with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and are licensed to practice in the state of New Mexico. They each have passions and expertise in unique areas of communication disorders so that we can assist children and adults with a variety of communication challenges.
